Attracted by the water clarity, underwater features and scenic beauty, scuba divers and snorkelers swim in a rocky inlet where Washoe tribal members once hunted. With water temperatures rarely exceeding the mid 60s, wetsuits are recommended. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival held in a nearby amphitheater is a major summer event.
