A reclusive fellow named Richard Rowe took up residence in Old Man’s Cave around the turn of the 19th century. Today, the cavern and Upper Falls are one of Ohio’s favorite outdoor destinations. Caves, waterfalls, rock formations and gorges are just some of the many attractions in this rugged landscape where visitors paddle and fish at Rose Lake, hike, bike and pitch camp.
