The 31st president and his wife, Lou, lie at rest in a hillside near his birthplace and boyhood residence. This site home to his independently run presidential library and museum preserves the cottage where Hoover was born, a schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and other historic buildings. A hiking trail leads through tallgrass prairie.
