The Harpeth River State Park is a linear park that manages nine river access sites along 40 river miles. The river is classified as Class I and is appropriate for beginners to advanced paddlers. The Narrows of Harpeth, Hidden Lake, and Gossett Tract are popular natural recreation areas within this park that also preserves a Mississippian Period Indian Mound Complex and 19th century grist mill.
