The East and West Lookout Tower Trails ascend the 3,324-foot peak that lends this park its name. Over 50 miles of trails in the park and State Natural Area explore dense forest, fields of wildflowers, 16 named peaks, and waterfalls including the popular DeBord and Emory Gap Falls. An understated yellow gate famously marks the beginning and end of the grueling Barkley 100-mile ultramarathon.
