Constructed in 1742, this Hall was a staging ground for meetings and debates on the eve of the American Revolution, earning it the nickname ‘Cradle of Liberty.’ 
For centuries, abolitionists, suffragists, and labor unionists used this marketplace and meeting hall to organize, debate opposition, and push for liberty and equality for all.
