Hiwassee/Ocoee Scenic State Park - Ocoee River
$3.99
Official Travel Stamp Vinyl Sticker
The dam-controlled Ocoee River flows through a gorge in the Cherokee National Forest. Over 40 named rapids, largely Class III and IV, cater to kayakers and white water rafters on the Upper and Middle River sections. Canoe and slalom events in the 1996 Olympics occurred on the Upper River while the Lower River offers a calmer paddle.
