The two-time Pulitzer Prize winning author moved to a peaceful respite in western North Carolina in 1945. Connemara property stretches 270 acres, featuring woods, lakes, gardens, and pastureland on which Mrs. Sandburg raised dairy goats. An extensive collection of thousands of artifacts detail a lifetime of social activism.
