One of the park’s more recognizable geologic wonders, this sandstone monarch guards Zion’s south entrance. The Watchman is one of several features given its inspiring name by Methodist minister Frederick Fisher. A hiking trail leads to an overlook at its base. The summit offers rock climbers stunning views of Zion Canyon.
