This desert park's most prominent rock formations once were sand dunes that cemented into colorful Navajo sandstone. Popular among Hollywood location scouts, the park has been featured in many films. Visitors tour the scenic road, bike, hike, rock climb, play in the dunes, rise horses and casmp under the stars. Wildlife watchers keep an eye out for the endangered desert tortoise.
