Service and sacrifice on the Home Front during World War II drew more than 6 million women into the workforce and integrated minority workers into vast war-related industries. This park honors hardworking “Rosies” as well as preserves Ford Assembly Plant, Shipyard No. 3, and SS Red Oak, sites integral to the wartime defense industry.
