Under the command of General George Washington, the Continental Army marched 680 miles over the course of 14 weeks from Newport, Rhode Island to Yorktown, Virginia. With them, over 4,000 French citizens of the Expédition Particulière commanded by Jean-Baptiste de Rochambeau marched against British forces.
