Home to ski-jumping and “champagne powder,” Ski Town USA boasts more U.S. Olympians as residents than any other city in the country. Settled by cattle ranchers and miners, the area grew with the arrival of the Denver, Northwest, and Pacific Railroad in 1908. It owes its name to the “chug chug” sound of over 150 natural hot springs, including the Old Town and Strawberry Park Hot Springs.
