In January 1974, a regional airport was built in the open pasture between two cities. At the time, it was the largest airport in the world. Today, DFW serves more than 70 million annual travelers, has its own zip code, and generates billions by connecting people and cargo to the world. Sculptures, paintings and mosaics adorn its five terminals.
