With wingspans approaching 10 feet, California condors are awesome sights as they soar in the sky above this wild desert treasure. Visitors might spot one of these vultures while traveling Highway 89A, which follows the base of the Vermilion Cliffs. The monument attracts hikers, campers, photographers and ORV enthusiasts.
